Here are the details of the benefits program at Cornerstone Bank for full-time employees. Medical benefit coverages are effective on the 1st of the month following a new employee’s date of employment.
Blue Cross Blue Shield provides Cornerstone Bank’s comprehensive medical coverage. Employees may choose from an HMO or PPO plan. The co-pays, deductibles, and the semi-monthly premium employees are responsible for paying will differ according to the plan that is chosen and the number of eligible covered dependents. Cornerstone Bank’s medical benefit also provides prescription benefits as well as a mail order option for prescription maintenance drugs.
Dental coverage is a passive PPO, meaning employees may choose their own dentist or a dentist from the list provided by our carrier, United Concordia. Preventative services are covered at 100% of reasonable and customary charges and include up to two visits per year, per covered individual. There is a small annual deductible for basic or major services. There is a generous annual maximum benefit. Orthodontic coverage is available for dependents under 18 years of age.
Vision coverage is provided through EyeMed Vision Care. Coverage includes an annual eye exam as well as a frame and lense allowance or contact lenses allowance.
Employee Assistance Plan
Employees and their immediate family members are provided professional assistance (at no cost to the employee) with marriage and family concerns, interpersonal difficulties, stress management, etc.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
This benefit provides tax and income advantages for certain types of health and dependent care expenses. FSA may be used to reimburse out-of-pocket medical, dental, and vision care expenses, or dependent care expenses that are defined as eligible by the Internal Revenue Code.
401k and Employee Stock Option Plan
We understand and value the balance between our employees' professional and personal lives. We make sure there is adequate time out of the office to rejuvenate and spend time with families.
Vacation accrual begins the first of the month after the employee’s date of employment. This means during your first calendar year of employment, you are eligible for a pro-rated number of vacation days based upon the number of months worked that year.
Holiday, Illness and Personal Days
Employees are eligible for paid holiday, sick and personal days during each calendar year.

Long-term and Short-term Disability
Cornerstone Bank provides long-term and short-term disability coverage at no cost to the employee. Employees are also eligible to purchase Supplemental Income Protection that increases the percent of the disability payment to the employee.
This coverage is provided by AFLAC and employees may choose coverage for themselves, as well as, spouse and/or children. The cancer coverage provides the employee with a first occurrence benefit when a covered person is diagnosed with internal cancer as well as a cancer screening wellness benefit.

Cornerstone Bank provides employees with a generous life insurance benefit (with an additional Accidental Death and Dismemberment rider) at no cost to the employee. There is also an option of purchasing Supplemental Life Insurance for the employee, spouse and/or child.
Long-Term Care Insurance
You also have the option of purchasing a long-term care policy, which is administered by Prudential. After the policy is issued and once you qualify, long-term care coverage pays you for covered care received in your home or Assisted Care Facilities. Employees have the flexibility of purchasing the level of coverage that meets their individual needs. Coverage may be purchased by the employee for themselves, spouse, grown children and even their parents at group discounted rates.
